Remodeling Done Right — From Start to Finish

Leave it to Me and its owner John were exceptional where some other contractors are weak – communication was excellent, they showed up when expected, and they made corrections when needed.

Ours was a gut renovation of a 9’x9’ bathroom in a condominium. We changed the size of our shower, added a second sink, made a closet smaller and changed a pocket door to a hinged door. We got a new toilet (with washlet), vanity, sinks, shower body, and lighting. We did get city permits for electric and plumbing, because we are in a condominium building.

Communication was excellent. John showed up when he said he’d show up, and called if his schedule slipped. He always told us when his crew was going to arrive. He returned our calls, and even called to check in when we were not expecting it. Some days we’d have a list of questions and John would go through each one with us because he genuinely wanted us to be happy with the process. If we saw something that seemed a bit off, he would listen and the issue would get resolved right away. He was always just a phone call away for his crew, too, if they had questions.

The crew is professional and knowledgeable. About 6 or 7 different guys worked on our project, on different days. They were all polite and we felt comfortable having them in our home and in the common areas of our condominium building. Some days we could not be at home when they were working and we were at ease with that. When necessary, they would go pick up materials, doors, tiles, as needed. They would come find us if they had a question. A shout out to Bryan because he refused an order of a door because he saw that it was damaged. Victor, the man who did all the tile work (we had A LOT of tile!), did an amazing job. He was patient and steady. He worked with us on a custom application on the shower floor that we just love.

Each day the crew would put down pads to protect floors, and plastic on furniture where needed. At the end of each day they would clean up the work area, as well as the halls they moved through. Before they left, they would put things back where we wanted them. This was important as with a reno this size, furniture needs to be moved for easier access and they leave tools and materials in your home throughout the job. Neighbors remarked the crew was polite and tidy when loading and unloading their trucks.

A few days after our work was done, John and his crew came back to install all the towel bars and cabinet pulls. We had a list of small things: a crooked fan, a misaligned light… do we need a bit more caulk here and there? No matter how small the request, John and his crew took care of it all. They even had a professional cleaning crew come in and deep clean the two bedrooms and the hall that were used during the work.

We could not be more happy with the work and the experience. The overall workmanship is very high quality. The vanity top is stellar. The tile is precise. The towel bars, lights and medicine cabinets are straight. The shower is WOW!!

To top it off, the job was done on schedule and within the budget we were quoted. The other reviews you will read are true, this is a top notch company. We highly recommend Leave It To Me Construction.

Primary bed bathroom and small walk-in overhaul from the 90's and beyond! Shower, floor, vanity, toilet with Toto seat, niche, etc. Ripped out wire closet system, walls, etc and replaced. Excellent work from start to finish. John presented a comprehensive plan for the project with upfront expenses and his team began work promptly and efficiently. Beautiful tile work in the walk-in shower (replacing the tile, tub) and navigated around a shower window including unforeseen water damage which was rapidly diagnosed and resolved to minimize delays. Also asked for additional removal of chair rails throughout the upstairs and entryway and fresh paint as well as to exterior as well as power washing. George, Victor, Rey and all on John's team went above and beyond, friendly, and respectful (closed up each evening cleaning up and communicating next steps, etc.) John managed the projects from start to finish and would check in and provide updates. John and his team really delivered on time and quality work with trust while collaborating and responding to minor challenges quickly all to an excellent finish.

John is the absolute best contractor! Look no further. I contracted John to completely gut renovate an investment property I purchased. I was not local and I did everything virtually and over the phone with him. I trusted him with a big project and he did not disappoint me in any way. Always took my calls and FaceTimes and delivered a beautiful new unit to me. Top of the line finishes delivered by his team and an honest person, I would recommend over and over again!

Reasonably priced and left everything cleaner than when they arrived.
